Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) adalah infeksi yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue. Dengue adalah virus penyakit yang ditularkan dari nyamuk Aedes Spp. Di Indonesia Demam Berdarah Dengue masih menjadi masalah Kesehatan masyarakat yang utama. Insiden rate (Incidence Rate) atau Angka Kesakitan Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) di Jawa Timur pada tahun 2018 sebesar 23,9 per 100.000 penduduk, mengalami kenaikan dibandingkan tahun 2017 yakni 4 per 100.000 penduduk. Angka ini dibawah target nasional ≤ 49 per 100.000 penduduk. Wilayah SMPN 2 Beji berada dekat di sekitar tempat pengolahan akhir yang dapat menjadi salah satu tempat berpotensi nya timbulnya penyakit khususnya DBD. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui evektifitas media booklet terhadap pengetahuan memberantas jentik nyamuk di kelas 8 SMPN 2 Beji. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis pre eksperimen design dengan metode penelitian One group Pretest-Postest. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 8 dengan menggunakan teknik Total Sampling. Peneliti memberikan edukasi menggunakan media booklet yang diberikan satu minggu sekali. Data diambil dengan pengukuran pengetahuan sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah (postest) menggunakan kuesioner online melalui google form. Analisis data diolah menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian tingkat pengetahuan diketahui terdapat perubahan pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi dengan media booklet ketgori baik 82,2% meningkat menjadi 97,3%, kategori cukup 10,8% menurun menjadi 2,7%, untuk kategori kurang tidak ditemukan hasil pada responden baik sebelum maupun sesudah edukasi. Hasil uji hipotesis didapatkan adanya pengaruh edukasi menggunakan media booklet terhadap pengetahuan pada siswa kelas 8 tentang memberantas jentik nyamuk di SMPN 2 Beji. Sekolah supaya meneruskan memberikan edukasi kesehatan kepada siswa siswi agar pengetahuan dan penerapan mereka lebih banyak dalam memahami cara memberantas jentik nyamuk dengan benar.

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infection caused by the dengue virus. Dengue is a viral disease that is transmitted from the Aedes spp. In Indonesia, Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is still a major public health problem. The incidence rate (incidence rate) or dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in East Java in 2018 was 23.9 per 100,000 population, an increase compared to 2017 which was 4 per 100,000 population. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the booklet media on the knowledge of eradicating mosquito larvae in the 8th grade of SMPN 2 Beji. This study uses quantitative research with the type of pre-experimental design with the One group Pretest-Postest research method. The subjects of this study were 8th grade students using the Total Sampling technique. Researchers provide education using booklets that are given once a week. Data was taken by measuring knowledge before (pretest) and after (posttest) using an online questionnaire via google form. Data analysis was processed using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the research on the level of knowledge showed that there was a change in knowledge before and after being given education with booklet media in the good category, 82.2% increased to 97.3%, in the sufficient category 10.8% decreased to 2.7%, for the less category there were no results found in the respondents. both before and after education. The results of the hypothesis test showed that there was an effect of education using booklet media on the knowledge of 8th graders about eradicating mosquito larvae at SMPN 2 Beji. Schools should continue to provide health education to students so that they have more knowledge and application in understanding how to eradicate mosquito larvae properly.
