Latar Belakang. Sistem Jaminan Sosial Nasional (SJSN) diselenggarakan oleh BPJS Kesehatan yang telah ditetapkan pemerintah dalam UU Nomor 24 Tahun 2011. BPJS Kesehatan mengoptimalkan program jaminan kesehatan untuk seluruh masyarakat. Masyarakat memiliki motivasi keikutsertaan program JKN hanya termotivasi karena kepesertaan bersifat wajib. Oleh karena itu penulis ingin mengetahui gambaran motivasi peserta mandiri yang ditinjau dari motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik terhadap keikutsertaan program JKN. Metode. Jenis data sekunder yang diperoleh dari google scholar. Metode pengumpulan data adalah studi pustaka. Jurnal yang didapat berjumlah 6 jurnal, 2 diantaranya jenis skripsi dan 4 jurnal nasional. Data dianalisis dengan teknik compare yaitu teknik merangkum dan mengkritisi kesamaan artikel dan disajikan dalam artikel baru. Hasil. Hasil analisis data dapat ditinjau dari motivasi intrinsik dari segi usia peserta yang akan mempengaruhi tingkat kematangannya sehingga dirinya akan sadar pentingnya kesehatan, selanjutnya dari segi tingkat pengetahuan yang baik, serta dapat ditinjau dari motivasi ekstrinsik diperoleh gambaran motivasi berasal dari dukungan keluarga sekaligus sebagai sumber informasi yang diterima peserta dalam mengikuti program JKN. Kesimpulan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa usia, pengetahuan, dukungan keluarga, dan sumber informasi dapat menggambarkan motivasi peserta mandiri dalam mengikuti program JKN. Saran bagi pihak BPJS Kesehatan agar lebih mengoptimalkan tugas Kader JKN yaitu sosialisasi, mengingatkan peserta dan pengumpulan iuran, jadi selain melalui media masyarakat lebih paham jika diberikan penjelasan secara langsung.

Introduction. The National Social Security System (SJSN) is administered by BPJS Health which has been stipulated by the government in Law Number 24 of 2011. BPJS Kesehatan optimizes the health insurance program for the entire community. The community is motivated to participate in the JKN program only because participation is mandatory. Therefore, the author wants to know the description of the motivation of independent participants in terms of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to participate in the JKN program. Methods. Types of data obtained from google scholar. The data collection method is literature study. There are 6 journals obtained, 2 of which are types of thesis and 4 national journals. Data were analyzed using the compare technique, namely the technique of summarizing and criticizing the similarity of the articles and presented in a new article. Result. The results of data analysis can be viewed from the intrinsic motivation in terms of age of the participants which will affect their level of maturity so that they will be aware of the importance of health, then in terms of a good level of knowledge, and it can be seen from extrinsic motivation that a description of motivation comes from family support as well as a source of information accepted by participants in joining the JKN program. Conclusion. It can be concluded that age, knowledge, family support, and sources of information can illustrate the motivation of independent participants in joining the JKN program. Suggestions for BPJS Kesehatan to further optimize the duties of JKN cadres, namely socialization, reminding participants and collection of contributions, so apart from going through the media the public will understand more if they are given direct explanations.
