Durasi operasi yang dialami pasien merupakan faktor penyebab komplikasi post operasi diantaranya mual muntah dan shivering hal ini menjadi fenomena yang sering dijumpai pada pasien post operasi dengan general anesthesia. Kebaruan dalam penelitian ini adalah tingginya kejadian shivering pada pasien post operasi dengan general anesthesia.. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan lama operasi dengan tingkat kejadian post operative nausea and vomiting dan shivering pada pasien post operasi dengan general anesthesia di RSUD Karsa Husada Batu. Rancangan penelitian analitis observasional menggunakan metode kuantitatif non-eksperimental desain penelitian cross Sectional. Populasi penelitian, pasien post operasi dengan general anesthesia di ruang recovery room RSUD Karsa Husada Batu. Besar sampel penelitian 67 responden, menggunakan aplikasi G*Power. Uji statistik menggunakan Spearman Rank Correlation. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara lama operasi dengan tingkat kejadian PONV dengan nilai p value (0,001 < 0,05) dan terdapat hubungan lama operasi dengan tingkat kejadian shivering dengan p value (0,001 < 0,05). Hubungan lama operasi dengan tingkat kejadian post operative nausea vomiting dan shivering menunjukan adanya hubungan yang signifikan karena, durasi operasi juga mempengaruhi banyakkan obat anestesi yang diberikan kepada pasien, serta menambah durasi pasien terpapar suhu kamar oprasi yang dingin.

The duration of the operation experienced by the patient is a factor causing post-operative complications including nausea, vomiting and shivering, this is a phenomenon that is often found in post-operative patients with general anesthesia. The novelty in this research is the high incidence of shivering in post-operative patients with general anesthesia. The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between the length of surgery and the incidence of post-operative nausea and vomiting and shivering in post-operative patients with general anesthesia at Karsa Husada Batu Regional Hospital. The observational analytical research design uses non-experimental quantitative methods, cross-sectional research design. The research population was post-operative patients with general anesthesia in the recovery room at Karsa Husada Batu Hospital. The research sample size was 67 respondents, using the G*Power application. Statistical tests use Spearman Rank Correlation. The statistical test results show that there is a relationship between the length of operation and the incidence of PONV with a p value (0.001 < 0.05) and there is a relationship between the length of operation and the incidence of shivering with a p value (0.001 < 0.05). The relationship between the length of the operation and the incidence of post-operative nausea, vomiting and shivering shows a significant relationship because the duration of the operation also influences the amount of anesthetic drug given to the patient, as well as increasing the duration of the patient's exposure to the cold temperature of the operating room.
