Pasien kanker yang menjalani kemoterapi memiliki efek samping berupa mual muntah. Sehingga diperlukan terapi farmakologis dan nonfarmakologis untuk mencegah terjadinya mual muntah yang lebih parah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh relaksasi otot progresif terhadap keluhan mual dan muntah pada pasien kemoterapi. Desain penelitian menggunakan quasy experiment. Metode pengambilan sampel convience sampling dengan menggunakan rumus slovin sehingga terdapat 70 responden yang akan dibagi menjadi kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan. Uji Analisa data dalam penelitian menggunakan uji Man Whitney untuk mengetahui pengaruh relaksasi otot progresif terhadap keluhan mual dan muntah pada pasien kemoterapi. Hasil uji Man Whitney didapatkan hasil bahwa p-value 0,000 yang berarti ada pengaruh relaksasi otot progresif terhadap penurunan keluhan mual dan muntah pasien kemoterapi. Pengaruh pemberian terapi farmakologi dan pemberian terapi relaksasi otot progresif berpengaruh terhadap penurunan keluhan mual dan muntah pasien kemoterapi. Sehingga disarankan agar pada pasien kemoterapi yang mengalami keluhan mual dan muntah dapat diberikan kolaborasi terapi farmakologi dan relaksasi otot progresif. Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy have side effects in the form of nausea and vomiting. So pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy is needed to prevent more severe nausea and vomiting. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on complaints of nausea and vomiting in chemotherapy patients. The research design uses a quasi-experiment. The convenience sampling method uses the Slovin formula so that there are 70 respondents who will be divided into control and treatment groups. Test Data analysis in the study used the Man Whitney test to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on complaints of nausea and vomiting in chemotherapy patients. The results of the Man Whitney test showed that the p-value was 0.000, which means that there was an effect of progressive muscle relaxation on reducing complaints of nausea and vomiting in chemotherapy patients. The effect of giving pharmacological therapy and giving progressive muscle relaxation therapy has an effect on reducing complaints of nausea and vomiting in chemotherapy patients. So it is suggested that chemotherapy patients who experience complaints of nausea and vomiting can be given a collaboration of pharmacological therapy and progressive muscle relaxation.
