Abstraksi

Abstract (English)
The Relationship Between the Provision of Complementary Feeding (MP-ASI) and Nutritional Status of Toddlers Aged 6-24 Months in Mawar Putih IV Integrated Health Post (Posyandu), Mulyorejo Health Center, Sukun District, Malang City.
Nutritional problems can be caused by an imbalance between the intake received and the body's needs. Based on the results of the 2021 Indonesian Nutritional Status Study (SSGI), the prevalence rate of nutritional problems in toddlers who experience stunting is 24.4%, wasting is 7.1%, and underweight is 17%, and overweight (obese) is 3.8%. In practice, giving MP-ASI that is not in accordance with the time it was first given, the frequency, form and number of portions that are not age-appropriate can have an impact on children's health, causing nutritional problems. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a relationship between the status of complementary feeding and the nutritional status of toddlers aged 6-24 months at Posyandu Mawar Putih IV in the Working Area of the Mulyorejo Health Center, Sukun District, Malang City. This type of analytic observational research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers with toddlers aged 6-24 months at Posyandu Mawar Putih IV in the working area of the Mulyorejo Health Center, Sukun District, Malang City with a sample of 30 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test. The results showed that the status of complementary feeding (73,3%) was appropriate. Nutritional status based on the weight-for-age index (83,3%), height-for-age index (70.0%), and weight-for-height index (80,0%) were mostly in the normal category. The statistical tests showed no significant relationship between the status of complementary feeding and the nutritional status based on the weight-for-age index (P-value=0,287), height-for-age index (P-value=0,067), and weight-for-height index (P-value=0,155). It is expected that integrated service posts and health centers can provide counseling and health education related to the importance of giving MP-ASI properly.
