Penyakit kusta merupakan penyakit menular yang masih menimbulkan masalah kesehatan di masyarakat. Masalah yang timbul akibat penyakit tersebut selain dari segi medis juga berdampak pada stigma negatif masyarakat yang berpengaruh pada harga diri penderita. Konseling pada individu dengan diagnosis kusta merupakan program pengendalian kusta khusunya pada tingkat puskesmas. Konseling pada penderita kusta akan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman tentang diri sendiri penerimaan diri dan situasi yang mereka alami, serta meningkatkan harga diri dan kepercayaan diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengaruh konseling pada penderita kusta yang mengalami harga diri rendah. Subjek pada studi kasus ini berjumlah satu orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan selama tiga hari yaitu pada tanggal 14-16 Juni 2017 subjek mengalami peningkatan harga diri menjadi positif. Hasil tersebut terbukti pada lembar wawancara, lembar observasi, dan alat perekam. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini deskriptif studi kasus, Hal ini menunjukan bahwa konseling dapat mempengharuhi harga diri pada penderita kusta. Rekomendasi pada studi kasus ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pendidikan kesehatan kepada masyarakat dan keluarga untuk meningkatkan harga diri penderita kusta.

Problems arising from the disease in addition to the medical side also affects the negative stigma of society that affects the patient's self-esteem. Counseling on individuals with leprosy diagnosis is a leprosy control program especially at the puskesmas level. Counseling on leprosy patients will be able to improve understanding of self-acceptance of self and the situation they experience, and increase self-esteem and self-confidence. The purpose of this research is to know the description of the influence of counseling on lepers who have low pride experience. The subject of this case study is one person who has leprosy, while the focus of this study is the description of leper’s pride after being given counseling. by opened interviewing and observing the stage of the pride of the subject case study. Based on the result of the research that had been done on June14-16, 2017 the subject gets increase in self-esteem becomes positive. The results are proven by interviewing paper, observation, and record. The method that is used in this research is descriptive case study. It shows that counseling can influence the pride of leper. The recommendation of this case study is expected to give health education to community and family to increase the pride of lepers.
